What is the key difference?

An-225 Mriya: Its 84-metre length and 88.4-metre span made it larger than conventional cargo aircraft, while the kneeling nose gear and forward ramp supported outsized cargo loading.

A380-800: Its 79.8-metre span and 72.7-metre length were kept inside an 80-by-80-metre airport compatibility envelope. Two passenger decks provide about 550 square metres of floor area.
