Start with the use case
Giant-scale aircraft raise the consequence of every choice. This guide helps experienced pilots scope the complete system; it is not flight instruction and does not replace local rules, insurance or club supervision.
Three sensible routes
Airframe and spares package
- Published all-up weight
- Replacement cowl and undercarriage availability
- Documented centre-of-gravity range
Redundant radio power
- Dual receiver power where appropriate
- Telemetry
- Secure, vibration-resistant installation
Transport and restraint system
- Padded wing bags
- Load-rated restraints
- Ventilated fuel-safe storage
What to avoid
- Making a giant aircraft your first RC model
- Ignoring club field limits
- Using unverified batteries, fuel systems or control hardware
